Die Design The Next Generation

Track: DIE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY - Practical Design
ABSTRACT --- Hollow die design on small, multi-hole and thin-walled shapes
has historically been a problem. A combination of small ports, high extrusion
ratios, and thin walls has caused the dies to be very hard pushing, with high
probability of rod spread differences. The need to develop a new type of design
to handle this type of product is now available. This presentation will discuss the
reasoning behind the designs, plus corresponding data to prove the benefits.
