Extrusion Design University – EDU ’18

EDU ’18 is a new AEC event that will have two major elements: educational seminars and an exhibition. This 2-day event will feature educational presentations delivered by AEC members and others focused on expanding aluminum extrusion knowledge. The event will bring together industry
experts who understand extrusion design and production processes and designers, engineers, and users of extrusions who are interested in honing their aluminum extrusion knowledge and design skills.

The conference will include a kick-off general session and 1 ½ days covering a multitude of subjects arranged in four tracks, including:

  • Building & Construction
  • Automotive/Transportation
  • Industrial Applications
  • Taste of ET

EDU ’18 – For Designers & Engineers

This new event is designed for individuals that want to learn how to design and engineer products using aluminum extrusions. Many design and engineering professionals are required to stay current on their professional education by taking classes that earn continuing education learning units, or CEUs. A full day of classes at EDU ’18 will provide a convenient one-stop venue, potentially allowing them to earn all or most of their annual CEUs at one meeting.

Who Will Attend?

The EDU ’18 program will benefit design and engineering professionals from virtually every end-use market for aluminum extrusions, including:

  • Product/Industrial Design
  • Electrical
  • Automotive/Transportation
  • Architecture
  • Medical/Healthcare Equipment
  • Marine
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Military/Government
  • Structural
  • Renewable Energy
  • Research & Development
  • Aerospace/Aviation
  • Machine/Appliance
  • Lighting

EDU ’18 – For Aluminum Extrusion Professionals

EDU ’18 will also be a “mini ET Seminar” event with at least one educational track dedicated to industry training and knowledge-sharing topics. Share your expertise and knowledge by presenting a paper at EDU ‘18. You’ll be helping to advance the industry and have an unparalleled opportunity to address extrusion professionals, industry leaders, and decision-makers who seek cutting-edge information and problem-solving resources.

The abbreviated “ET” program will be similar to past ET events with topic categories such as:

  • Billet Process & Equipment
  • Extrusion Equipment
  • Extrusion/Die (Practical and Theoretical)
  • Management Issues
  • Value-Added Processes

Who Will Attend?

Aluminum extrusion industry attendees will include:

  • Management Executives
  • Engineers
  • Plant Supervisors
  • R&D Professionals
  • Sales & Marketing Personnel
  • Finishing Managers
  • Extrusion Die & Tooling Professionals
  • Metallurgists
  • Plant Management Personnel, and more.
